Cruella's manic style

The LE Villains Designer Collection Cruella De Vil doll came out today, and I rushed to my store to get her. When the drawings and later the photos of the dolls appeared in the summer, Cruella just caught my eye and I've been waiting quite impatiently for her to come out. Why did she have to be last?!

I got the included Villains bag, which is actually amazingly thick and I believe it can take quite a few blasts to its sides. And the doll's "glass" (cough, plastic, cough) frame was covered by a printed cardboard sheet. I must admit that showcase really does the difference - it feels so much more like a collectible item.

Urg, she is perfection. The lashes are nice and curved, the hairstyle is created without any visible seams and her eyes... HER EYES.

She comes with her pipe and hand back and a gemstone has been glued to her glove to replace the ring.

Her eye-shadow has this glitter effect and it's just so smooth and pretty. Plus the lining above the eyes is purple! It's such a nice colour when put up against Cruella's pale face mold.

Siiigh. Goodbye Cruella. See you in a week when I return from Italyyy.

Naming a jittering colour

Some weeks ago I went to this superb party during the Copenhagen Golden Days festival, which is an annual festival I must admit I'd never heard of before. The theme this time around was - the 50ies! Right up my alley of interest, haha. The event was held in Arbejdermuseet (the workers' museum) where they had an exhibition and the socialdemokratic party's old assembly hall from those years. A great spot for it!
I went with Rikke, and we were taught jitterbug - so we were ready for the night of rock'n'roll and hand jives - and had a traditional Danish meal there.

People really came in their finest. There was actually also hairdressers present to do the participants' hair, but not a whole lot came through that. They'd sort of implied that everyone would get their turn, so I came without having done my hair. It was such a shame ! Especially when all them ladies with fabulous swing in their curls passed by.

We took a quick look at the exhibition too. Look a those rollers! So fun to see - my great-gran used to have some just like that.

And my rockabilly dress, which had by this our lost its puff, hahah.

There's been a great deal of rainbows in the past weeks.
I ordered some jewelery from di depux, while they had a special offer. Aaand of course I bought a little bit more than just that. The peace necklace was an extra gift - so nice! The order came quick, considered that they custom-made my order, and everything was so nicely wrapped.

They had a 2 for 1 name necklace offer, so I got Liv (is) Alive, haha. My name is so short and hard to make pretty in letters, but I'd really wanted a name necklace for a long while. This is such a fun way to do my name, and I wear it all the time, haha. The "Alive" is just a bonus :D
+ I couldn't resist these glittering POW earrings.

 Teehee.
Also! I got around to do something with my hair, which I've wanted to do since last christmas. I dyed my hair in a more wild shade than just drown!

It's actually a turquoise colour, but since my hair isn't bleached it turned out more aqua! But that's cool too, imo.

I loooove it. I will definitely enjoy these next weeks with a pop of colour, before the dye washes out.

Refusing the ego?

I bought this stellar tee over at teefury some while ago, and I arrive in nice shape! I like the tone of How I Met Your Mother and am of course quite taken with Toy Story, so I just HAD to get it.

Recently, I watched the Godfather movies with Rikke - I know, I know, it's about time - and even though they are long as hell there are soo interesting and really captivating. Real classics!

It felt like an eternity since I'd done some shopping, so I reckoned it was long overdue and took out my credit card. I got some warm jumpers, earrings and the lovely shoes you see below.

The weather is so silly, changing temperatures dramatically from one day to another. Or at least that was the situation some weeks ago. I could walk about, wearing nothing on my armss. Oh, those were the days.

I'm wearing my Mickey ring from Disneyland almost everyday, since my "Believe" ring's gold layer has started to rub off from my over-use. It just gives me an extra burst of energy for the day to be able to look down at my hand and smile.

And oh yea! Guess what my motivation for watching Godfather was? I'm going to Sicily in a week! WooooooOOOoooo!

Theming it up

I have attended wayy too many themed parties lately. Starting off I went to Dennis' and his flatmate's birthday party which was western themed. Cowboys and indiansss! I came as a cowgirrrrl with a shiny sheriff star attached to myself.

They had really gone all out and dressed the venue. It was so impressive and created an amazing vibe! And as part of Dennis' gift, Sille and I showed him our mad western dancing moves. See, we'd spent a good amount of time learning this:

The boys had been cowboys all evening but then they were gone for a little while - and returned with colours everywhere! Haha, it was so great!

We had a really good evening with games, dancing and laughinggg.

This was back when it was actually sort of warm. Urg, I miss the warmth of summer already!

Ooooh boogie boogie boogie, hey! Let's yodel to the break of dawn !

 Hello fantastic instant photo.
Next themed event coming up was the superhero/super-villain annual party. A bunch of my friends had assembled on Team Xavier or Team Magneto's casual x-men group. And they had t-shirts! I was actually in the group too, but my red dress didn't arrive in time for the print.

Sty wet all-in with her Jessica Rabbit costume and her bf was pretty darn great as Thor!

I was a chillaz Scarlet Witch, haha. And Dennis was semi-transformed Beast while Rikke wore her Little My. I was astonished when I saw Rasmus' "mask" - he made it from scratch and it's just so beautiful.

The venue for the party wasn't the best, but there were a pretty big bunch of well-known faces present and they made the event fun, even though it was also very relaxed.

And then I recently had to be some kind of science fiction creation, so I played around with make-up. I personally like the one on the left the most, since it's a bit more alien imo, but the other one is more playful of course.

Themes are fun, but I am a bit drained at this point. Is Halloween really this close? D:
